Excapade was established in March 2002, where we opened the doors of our first restaurant in Brunei Darussalam. Over the years, we have been fortunate to grow alongside the Bruneian and Miri community and expanded to 11 branches across the region. We serve an extensive variety of Japanese food & beverages that includes fresh sashimi, sushi, donburi, noodles, bento boxes and so on. We prioritize affordability, quality and freshness with our ingredients, and only serve value-for-money products which are primarily air-flown from Japan and Norway.
Excapade is known for being the first Japanese restaurant to introduce the Sushi Train in Brunei, with the intention to shorten the waiting time for our customers. We obtained our Halal Certification in 2014, which allowed us to build a more trusting relationship especially with the Muslim community, and with the continuous support of our loyal customers. Up to date, Excapade has a total of 40,000 Privilege Card members, over 56,000 followers on Facebook and over 23,000 followers on Instagram.
Today, Excapade is not only serving dine-in & take-away transactions, we also accommodate for other services that include delivery, outside & in-house catering, and have recently branched out to local supermarkets where we have placed our very own Sushi Kiosks; with the aim of convenience & for those who wish to have sushi on-the-go.
In addition, we've been given the opportunity to accommodate Brunei's very first Omakase-style dining experience - which is a Japanese tradition of giving the chef complete freedom to select your courses based on what is seasonally available in Japan. In future, we hope to deliver only the best food and service to our customers, as well as educate and raise awareness of the unique Japanese culture, within our community and internationally.
